What Dr. Tuli treats

Eye care, from the routine to the most advanced surgery.

Four areas of care under one roof in Burbank. Each page is written to explain the procedure honestly — what it does, who it suits, the real risks, and the questions worth asking before you decide.

What eye procedures does Dr. Tuli perform in Burbank?

Tuli Eye Care Center offers eye care and surgery across four areas: vision correction (LASIK and PRK, refractive lens exchange, cataract surgery), cornea and ocular surface care (corneal transplants, dry eye), glaucoma management (medical, laser, and minimally invasive surgery), and eyelid care (chalazion and lesion removal, blepharoplasty evaluation and referral).

Which eye procedures are performed in the office rather than an operating room?

Chalazion drainage, eyelid papilloma and lesion removal, YAG peripheral iridotomy, and SLT laser for glaucoma are performed in the office, usually with numbing drops and in minutes. Cataract surgery, refractive lens exchange, laser vision correction, and corneal transplantation are performed in a surgical facility.

How is the right eye procedure chosen?

At a comprehensive exam. Dr. Suhas Tuli, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained corneal and refractive surgeon, so the choice between reshaping the cornea and replacing the lens is made on what your eyes actually measure, not on the one procedure a practice happens to offer.

Questions, answered

Before you choose a procedure

You don’t have to decide on your own. A comprehensive eye examination with Dr. Tuli is the starting point — she evaluates your eyes and recommends the option that genuinely fits, or tells you none is needed yet. Each procedure page here explains what the treatment involves so you can arrive already informed.

Yes — and where she does not, this site says so. Dr. Suhas Tuli is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained corneal and refractive surgeon. In corneal transplantation she performs PKP and DSEK; she does not perform DMEK. In glaucoma she performs YAG peripheral iridotomy and SLT in the office, and iStent (MIGS) either at the time of cataract surgery or as a standalone procedure, depending on the patient, while advanced glaucoma surgery such as trabeculectomy or a drainage implant is co-managed with a fellowship-trained glaucoma surgeon. Blepharoplasty is evaluated in-office and referred to a trusted oculoplastic surgeon. Where an operation is better performed by someone else, she refers you to that surgeon.
